Birds are chirping. The air is cool and fresh. It’s quiet as a small town should be.
Solvang
Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery

Scent of fresh baked treats spills out onto the sidewalk. Scent beckons me to enter Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery.
Birkholm’s Bakery

Solvang has a handful of Danish bakeries. I visited a different one each morning to try some fresh baked items. This morning I tried Birkholm’s Bakery.
Solvang Farmer’s Market

While walking through the farmers market I was looking for tasty strawberries. I saw 4 vendors with nice looking strawberries. One vendor had strawberries with aroma that wafted into the walkway. I followed the scent and asked where the strawberries were grown.
The Big Bopper Drive-In

The plan was to visit Paula’s Pancake House but the 45 minute wait torpedoed the plan. Next the requirement we eat at a place in a one block radius led us to The Big Bopper Drive-In.
Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery

I’ve been walking to a different Solvang bakery each morning. The walk to Olsen’s was the longest but worth it.
